Ponikarovsky Deal in Place

Darren Dreger reports that the Leafs are close to moving Alexei Ponikarovsky. Rumors about him moving have been going on for a while now, and he has been pulled from playing with the Leafs to ensure health.

**UPDATE: TSN's Bob Mackenzie has tweeted that a trade is indeed in place that will send Alexei Ponikarovsky to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for prospect Luca Caputi. The Penguins need to clear some cap space before the trade call can be made to the league.
