Ray Whitney on the move?

E-mail Print

The Carolina Hurricanes are possibly looking to move the offensive threat, Ray Whitney. He finished last season with 77 points, which is attracting many teams in the NHL world.

TSN's analyst Bob McKenzie reports that the LA Kings were very close to acquire the aging winger, but talks came to a halt when Whitney asked for a 3 year deal. The Kings were interested in signing him for a 1-year deal, in hopes of boosting their playoff chances.

We will keep in touch with Whitney's case, as he will most likely be dealt at the trade deadline.
